Working together at a successful dotcom company for over seven years, the two moms often found it difficult to juggle the challenges of work with the needs of their families.
Date nights and outings with friends rarely came to fruition because of the challenges associated with finding a babysitter. Sure, there were a few sitters in their personal address books, but coordinating availability was often a nightmare.
"Wouldn't it be nice if we could just find a sitter online?" wondered the two moms.
And with those words, a website was created and a revolution was sparked.

This is different than a referral agency in that we do not charge for each time you need a sitter. There are memberships that allow a parent access to the sitter profiles to choose one and contact the sitter directly. All sitter fees are done privately between parent and sitter.
Security? We take this seriously and we encourage all sitters to get a LiveScan background check or to get certified with TrustLine. This is not a requirement, but it is strongly recommended. Background Check Info (http://www.sittersplace.com/backgroundchecks.html)
